Jill is available to paint commissioned portraits. An initial discussion will explore what the sitter’s and patron’s interests and needs are, which will be followed by a meeting either at Jill’s studio in the Greater Boston area or at the sitter’s home to photograph the sitter as well as as important props and settings. Next, Jill will create a collage in photoshop which will be emailed to the patron for approval and consequently any changes will be made. After the collage is agreed upon, painting will commence. Portraits typically take 2-3 months for completion. All portraits are painted in oil on linen canvas.

Below are a series of photographs that illustrate the process of a commissioned portrait. The first three shots were taken during the initial photo shoot. Then, several photos were merged and composited into a Photoshop collage. After the Photoshop document was approved, the painting began.
